Web Design
CNVRT is a file conversion website which utilizes a drag and drop interface and a robust API. An internal project for ELC Tech, CNVRT is currently still under construction. I'm providing logo and UI design as well as front end code development.
Velum Media is the umbrella company for the ELC Tech blog network which includes iCodeBlog, TG Daily and MXDWN to name a few. Velum Media is currently still under construction but will launch soon. I'm providing logo and UI design as well as front end code development.
When Dan Moriarty decided to start his own health IT recruitment firm, he came to me to create a site that reflected the professionalism and understanding he maintains with his own clients. He also wanted to showcase the numerous recommendations he'd acquired over the years.
A recent acquisition by the Grand Heritage Hotel Group, CostaBaja Resort and Spa is a world class resort near Cabo San Lucas in California Baja Sur, Mexico. Working with contacts in Mexico remotely from Portland, this project proved to be quite a challenge technically as well as culturally. The majority of resort sites in Mexico utilize flash so I had the tough job of convincing my clients that a site based on standardized CSS and XHTML would be more beneficial to visibility, updates and future proofing. In the end I was able to produce a version of the site everyone was satisfied with.
Another acquisition by the Grand Heritage Hotel Group, The Peaks Resort and Spa resides in beautiful Telluride, Colorado. Given a very short deadline to get the site online, I chose to focus heavily on photography to drive the appeal of the property. Luckily there was no shortage of gorgeous shots to utilize. I also created a mini site for the property's spa as well as the logotype for both.
A rewards program through the Grand Heritage Hotel Group mirroring frequent flyer incentives many airlines offer. Members are able to redeem points by staying multiple times at any of the family of Grand Heritage Hotels.
Video Contest
With data taken from a recent poll, The Cascade Policy Institute is holding a contest for Oregon parents and their children to enter and win $10,000 by making a video explaining the concept of "school choice". For this I designed and programmed a dynamic website detailing the contest as well as a custom video directed by Evan Stuart. The site also links to a custom YouTube group page with the contest entrants' videos.
Publisher Summit 2008
For Centro's Media Summit 2008 I created a campaign consisting of print and web material, including an electronic invitation, PPT template and comprehensive event profile on their existing website. Sections on the website provided photos, video and presentation downloads of every speaker at the event. To view print collateral from this event, click here.
Chicago area photographer Bob Elmore needed a digital portfolio for his business so I provided design and programming of his site. For the photo gallery portion of the site I installed a CMS allowing Bob to easily upload, rearrange and edit existing work on the fly from an easy to use backend admin.
Local Chicago winery and restaurant Cooper's Hawk needed to match their rapid growth with an online store. I designed and programmed this site to provide their entire wine catalogue as well as gift baskets, gift cards, and wine club memberships. There's also a section where the customer is able to build their own custom wine label. The site front end was handcoded and utilizes Shopsite eCommerce software.
A local court reporting service was badly in need of total rehaul of their existing site as it was many years out of date. I provided design and development of the site and kept the angelic themes the owner requested without presenting an overt religious tone to the design.
